USA 0-0 SERBIA (4-5 PENALTIES)
Gedion Zelalem was in action for 120 minutes as the his adopted country lost on penalties to Serbia in the quarter final of the U-20 World Cup

Few days back, Jack Wilshere voiced his reaction to calls for him to change his style of football.

When I was injured, I read a few people who said that ( i should change). I thought maybe they are right, maybe I should change it a bit.
As soon as I came back on my front game naturally, I wanted to pick up the ball and run with it, I can’t change that. I can work on few things maybe.
You look at the best dribblers in the world-Messi, Iniesta- they keep the ball very close to them.

Wilshere is once again in the news this time not for smoking or for anti Tottenham chants, but for stating his commitment to his style of play.
But should Wilshere change? Many gooners always complain that Wilshere runs too much with the ball and invites tackles; with his glass ankles, he always falls prey to injury. Some of said he should change, but i don’t think so.
What Jack needs to do is to refine his style and make it better. Wilshere has qualities similar to great players and if he was in a different league would have been a great star because he is a classic No 10. He needs to look up more to evade those challenges and see a better placed team mate. Looking at a player like Iniesta who keeps the ball close to his feet, he is always on the look out for a better placed team mate. That is what Wishere should do, he can be a great player and can take No 10 role from Ozil.

Like was stated in last week’s Arsenal Roundtable, the clock is ticking for Jack and the earlier he realises his potential, the better for him.

See you tomorrow! 😉
